Of the various Japanese Visual Kei bands currently making noise on the rock scene, D’espairsRay stands out as one which is extremely gifted. D’espairsRay has a single out entitled FINAL CALL that has an exhilarating upbeat rhythm.  Hizumi syncs vocals to the beat with elegant precision while Karyu on guitar and Zero on bass weave sick melodies. Increasing the sense of harmony is a graceful movement between parts and song.  FINAL CALL carries the sort of melody that rock purists appreciate.  
D’espairsRay has been active on the rock landscape since 1999, when the original (and current) band members formed D’espairsRay and released their first demo tape.  Scroll forward eleven years or so and D’espairsRay‘s fans on this side of the world are impatiently awaiting the release of their next album entitled Monsters which is scheduled to be released in late July.
Oregon and Washington fans have a rare chance to see D’espairsRay up close as they have recently announced the “Human-clad Monsters” D’espairsRay World Tour 2010.
