Top Korean female idol group Girls' Generation also known as SNSD and Shōjo Jidai in Japan, is a nine-member South Korean girl group that has quickly became immensely popular in Japan as well as most of Asia.

Girls' Generation penetrated the Japanese markets with their DVD “SNSD Arrival~Arrival in Japan Commemoration Disc~” released in August. Only 10,000 copies of this Limited Edition DVD were produced and all of them have sold out. Their success is not unexpected since SNSD is extremely popular and the DVD includes tickets to SNSD’s first Japan event. SNSD’s DVD has placed as high as number 2 on ORICON daily music ranking in Japan.
