After back-to-back sell-out performances in 2008, PLAY! A Video Game Symphony returns to Benaroya Hall on June 21 and 22. This visually and musically exciting program features Seattle Symphony and a chorus performing the soundtracks from hit videogames — including Final Fantasy®, The Legend Of Zelda®, HALO®, Super Mario Bros.®, and World of Warcraft® — while images and key sequences from the games are projected on screen above the stage. New to this year’s program are selections from Civilization V® and Mafia II®. The performance will be led by conductor Andy Brick, a distinguished leader in gaming music whose own compositions and arrangements have been featured on numerous blockbuster games.
