Ingredients (4 servings) Renkon (Lotus root) .............................................. 1 (6 inches) Sugar................................................................... 1.5 tbs Saké.................................................................... 2 tbs Soy Sauce ............................................................ 2 tbs Shichimi (Seven spice pepper)................................. ¼ tsp Sesame oil (or Vegetable oil) ................................. 1tbs Directions 1. Finely slice Renkon (lotus root) and place in a bowl of water for a 5 minutes. 2. Lightly coat a medium size frying pan with sesame oil, turn on medium high heat and add Renkon. 3. Saute 1-2 minutes, add sugar, sake and soy sauce. 4. Saute until liquid is gone. 4. Sprinkle with Shichimi and serve. |
